DEMO 2.0! New Stats, Damage Formulas, Fish Animations & More!

I've been hard at work updating some QoL aspects of Mystic Fishing and I'm happy to say that I have updated the demo with all the new bells and whistles for you to try out!

Mystic Fishing DEMO 2.0 Changes:

• 🎣ADDED New Reeling Minigames + Bobber Animation

  -2 brand new reeling minigames have been added for variety's sake. They will unlock as you play through the demo. A bobber animation has also been added to spice up fishing.

• 🎣ADDED Bobbers, Lures, and Reels!

  -Special equipment have been added in order to allow players to customize their fishing experience more to their liking. Equipping certain bobbers can change the reeling minigame, and certain reels/lures can even introduce a "chill" fishing mode for those who want to relax.

• 🎣ADDED Keybind Customization

  -You can now change both keyboard and gamepad keybinds from the menu.

• 🎣ADDED Fish Encyclopedia Pages for DEMO Fish

  -All fish (except the Super Boss) now have their encyclopedia pages available to unlock in the demo simply by catching said fish. These pages include real world facts about each fish, or made up lore for any fantasy fish.

• 🎣UPDATED Stat Numbers

  -All fish and playable characters have new stat layouts in order to match the new damage formulas. Overall numbers are smaller and more reasonable than before.

• 🎣UPDATED Damage Formulas

  -Before I was using the default RPGM damage formulas which get really crazy and unbalanced fast. The new formulas scale very well and stop unforeseen damage gaps.

• 🎣ADDED Fish Animations

  -Fish now have shadows and are more lively during battle, able to float, bob, sway, and bounce about. Whether idle or attacking, these fish be GROOVIN.

• 🎣UPDATED Maps + ADDED Side Areas

  -Both Pond and River have brand new side areas to explore along with added items and random events to discover. Pond has also been entirely REVAMPED to be much visually appealing.

• 🎣ADDED General QoL Changes

  -Interactable objects now have an indicator above them.

  -Access to Quest Journal, FIsh Encyclopedia, and Fishing are now tied to keybinds which are displayed on screen.

  -Reworked battle HUD to look cleaner and sleeker.

  -Fixed engine problem that caused random crashes with high framerate.

  -Player party now fully heals on level ups.

  -Game is now more zoomed in to eliminate negative space.

  -Quest HUDs have been added to help keep track of objective fish.

• 🎣UPDATED Super Boss

  -The Super Boss at the end of the demo has been rebalanced and updated with new formulas and stats, The challenge is still there, but players should have more tools at their disposable to deal with it.

• 🎣ADDED Special Secret

  -I've been toying with a certain concept for a while and I finally have a preview to show off to you. Yes, a demo in a demo. It is available to those who have beaten the Super Boss, or those who follow me on YouTube lol.

❗ Disclaimer: Due to the new dramatic changes with stats, ID numbers, variables, maps, and more, older saves WILL NOT be compatible with this new update. You will have to start your saves over from a new game. I'm sorry about this, but the new improvement are worth it for a better experience. You can still back up your old saves to use on a downgraded version of the demo if you'd like. 

❗ Please make a manual backup of your save prior to downloading the update just in case anything happens. This update changes previous stats and locations and old saves may NOT be compatible with new update.
